Dulzura

Dulzura an alpaca maiden Dulzura is a rich chocolate brown with dark points. Correct in conformation and bite, she has good crimp, density and staple length. A good addition to any herd. Dulzura, Spanish for sweet, taps into the rich, ribbon-winning genes of her True Black grandam, Miss Harrison, and the award-winning genetics of her dam's produce, including her true black sire Deep.

Dulzura's half-brother El Chaparrón, who we kept as a stud, has produced two ribbon-winning young studs: Mr. Truffles, winner of five blue ribbons, and Tobillo Quadro who is just beginning his show career. We expect big things of Dulzura as well. Famous sires in her background include Bolivian Black Thunder and pPeruvian Abad.

Miss Elegance

Miss Elegance an alpaca maiden Elegant as her name suggests, this young maiden is stylish with presence to spare. Her fleece is fine, buttery soft, and very dense with lots of crimp; staple length was over six inches at 12 months. She is a combination to our two foundation females whose offspring have won 42 ribbons for our ranch. Miss Elegance's fleece recently took second place in a competitive field of eight at Monterey Pronk 2006.

With a True Black dam and Silver Gray sire, Miss Elegance is sure to bring color to your herd. Famous sires in her pedigree include pPeruvian Pluro, Silver Creek and Peruvian Mucho Gusto.

Summer's Sunshine

Summer's Sunshine an alpaca maiden Summer's Sunshine has a personality to match her name. She is "Miss Empathy" in our herd, always snuggling up to any alpaca that is anxious, especially during vet visits and halter training sessions. She will be a doting mother. Sunshine has a perfect bite and good bone; her fleece has density, crimp, handle, and staple length. She carries the rich genes of her True Black grandam, Miss Harrison. She will be ready to breed in the fall of 2006. Summer's Sunshine's fleece won first place and Reserve Champion Color at Monterey Pronk 2006.

Summer's Sunshine is the product of famous sires pPeruvian Mucho Gusto and Bolivian Black Thunder. With her True Black sire and Medium Fawn dam, we expect her to produce outstanding cria.

Miss Sociable

Miss Sociable a proven huacaya female Miss Sociable is friendly, curious and gentle; a true silly-heart! Good conformation, perfect bite plus good density, handle, and crimp. Dark brown with black points, she brings color in her genes from her True Black sire and Medium Brown dam. Miss Sociable's grandam, Miss Harrison, has spawned a dynasty of ribbon winners—20 ribbons for halter and fleece, including two Reserve Color Championships and eight blue ribbons.

The offspring of her dam, another foundation female in our herd, have won 22 ribbons for our ranch, including champion color fleece at the 2003 AOBA winter fleece show, best huacaya handle, and 11 blue ribbons. This young lady will make an excellent herd-starter, sure to produce ribbon winning cria! Her first cria, True Black, is under 20 microns and with astronishing consistency from head to knees.

Cleopatra in Sandals a proven huacaya female This striking gal is a lady of color. Cleopatra in Sandals is a tri-color, solid True Black blanket and Black and Brown and White trim. Her cria range from white on dark skin to bay black and true black. She's an extraordinary mother with plenty of milk. Her calm disposition makes her a great choice for a first-time alpaca owner or addition to an established herd.

A ribbon winner herself, Cleopatra comes from a matriarch in our herd who has produced 22 ribbon winners for us. Cleopatra has strong bone, straight legs, great conformation and bite plus her fleece has good handle, density and crimp. Cleo's true black daughter placed fourth in a competitive class of eight at AWE 2005 and first at halter at Northwest Showcase 2005. And there's more to come! Cleo is bred to Nova Eclipse, out of Aussie Rockford, for a July 2007 cria.

Honeyed Dream

Honeyed Dream a proven huacaya female Honeyed Dream has remarkably high luster and superb handle, which she has passed on to all four of her offspring. She consistently throws cria producing the longest staple length in our herd and good crimp and density. Shy but dignified presence, she is medium in size and bone, a great mother and milk producer. Honeyed Dream has genetic vigor in her genes from Peruvian, Bolivian, and Chilean stock.

Honeyed Dream is a good herd starter and show ring producer. Sedoso, her 2003 cria, placed 1st in spin-off and 3rd in fleece in very competitive white classes. Honeyed Dream will produce color when bred to color. Notable sires in her lineage are pPeruvian Abad and Bolivian Ventisco. Bred to Golden Boy for a July, 2007 cria.

Miss DreamWorks

Miss Dreamworks a proven huacaya female Miss DreamWorks comes from a a family of ribbon winners. Her grandam (who we still have at Alpacas at Cloud Ranch) has produced 11 offspring who have won 19 ribbons for fleece and conformation. Miss Dreamworks is a big girl, large frame and bone, good bite; excellent crimp, density, handle, staple length and coverage. An attentive mother, she is a good milk producer as well.

Miss DreamWorks's dam, at eight years old, won Grand Champion Color fleece and Judge's Choice at Monterey Pronk 2006. The judges were amazed at the crimp, brightness, and fineness of her fleece, "This eight-year old fleece would be competitive in B class (yearling)." Miss DreamWorks is carrying on this longevity of fleece quality; she placed third out of nine in a highly competitive white fleece class, Northwest Showcase 2004 (score of 70).

Colors in her genes include her True Black grandam, and medium Rose Gray sire. At 10 months her micron count was 20.1 with 4.1 SD, 20.3 CV and 1.9>30. Her lineage includes ppPeruvian Mr. President, pPeruvian Pluro and Silver Creek. Bred to Tobillo Quadro for September, 2007 cria.
